Alternative energy is called non-conventional energy, which refers to solar energy, wind energy, biomass energy, nuclear energy, geothermal energy, hydrogenic energy and ocean energy. Alternative energy, on the one hand, could be considered as supplement to conventional energy like fossil fuel. It helps reduce carbon emission on the other hand. Although China has fallen behind on the realm of renewable energy source (RES) and alternative energy (AE), it is amazing to witness higher than 25% CAGR year by year. Admittedly, the RES and AE have taken shape due to remarkable progress made these years and improved technology. Alternative energy as one of strategic emerging industry promoted and supported by the Government will provide technical support as the foundation for massive exploitation.
